There's sooo much going on in my life right now but I still don't feel that I have anything to write about.
On the food part I'm pretty well cooking a lot of basic meats and veggies. Although since it's so hot here we're eating a lot of salads too.
We're back in the grind after our trip to Indian, which we loved. Have I shared with you that I LOVE LOVE my family! As I look at each one as an individual I realize I am one blessed Mom and Grandma! All of my children are wonderful and I am soooo proud of each one. I can't say they're all perfect but I guarantee you that I can find tons of things in their lives to be proud of! It's so sad to me that some people can't find anything to be proud of or thankful for concerning their children. I think you just need to look a little harder!
I am sooo excited these days as "The Help" will be premiering August 12th. Not only was it a great book but I think the movie is going to be just as good! Now I may be just a little prejudice as I am from MS and live in the Greenwood area where 80% of the movie was shot. As I watch this trailer I recognize many of the houses and streets. So I imagine I will be watching it many times! If you need someone to go see it with just contact me, that will just give me one more excuse.
I've talked to several people who have read this book and I have yet to hear of anyone who didn't love it! If you have not read it order it today and you will have time before the movie premiers as it only takes a few days at most.
Thanks for stopping by y'all and please come again soon!

An update on the grandchildren
We just returned from visiting our children in Indiana and had a wonderful time it was just too short. Mary does an excellent job in preparing meals I can eat, needless to say I am NOT getting on the scales anytime soon. I think I ate something that I should not have on the way home yesterday and today I am paying for it.
Well enough of that let my photos do the talking from our trip.
My babies they are growing up fast.
Josh has an injured ankle but he stills manages to get around.
Alayna is doing so well in school this was a project
from last year and she had to tell me all about it.
Josh is a camera hog if he sees you taking the girls photos he sits down right in front of you and starts saying cheese
Emma is glued to me the whole time we're together. She always begs to come live with me in Mississippi.
This is the first time ever I have let the girls take my
camera and take photos unsupervised. They did a great job.
This one was taken by Emma while I was busy in the kitchen.
Only grand-kids can get him to smile like that!
Little man loved being with his PePaw. He kept trying to wear the girls accessories and Honey couldn't stand it. So he got him a cap and tried changing his focus. Josh put the hot on PePaw and looked for the headband.
We took the girls to the "Creation Museum" and this
was the only dinosaur we could get them close to.
If you are ever close to a "Creation Museum" I'd strongly encourage you to visit. It was a neat experience.
Me observing "Maroon Friday". I don't remember if Alayna or Emma took this photo but I do remember that it was really HOT!
We all went to lunch on Saturday and I discovered that with this family if you slip up and take a photo they don't smile as a matter of fact they look angry. Oh well.........
A family affair a cast doesn't stop this boy.
Our George and Mary
The only problem with the girls taking the photos there is always one missing. Here Emma was the one.
You can see lots more photos of the family and the things we did by watching the video on the bottom of this blog.

On Vacation
Taken Mother's Day
We decided at the last minute to take a long over due trip to see our daughter and her family in Indiana. We drove it from our new home for the first time and made several stops for meals and bathroom breaks. We also had to stop south of Louisville, KY due to bad weather and hail. It was hailing so bad that we were afraid our windshield was going to bust.
We are having a great time and will share more with you later.
Thanks for stopping by and please come back soon y'all and see photos from our trip.

Tried and True
I have shared many time how much I love meatloaf. As I'm writing this I am thinking about making one tonight. The one thing I love is you can put whatever you are in the mood for in it and it usually turns out great. I also enjoy leftovers made into sandwiches; it's kind of like a meatball sandwich. So a few weeks ago Honey was out of town and I decided to make a meatloaf that I had received to try from Mixes in the Heartland. I made it exactly like the package said but topped it with a sweet cranberry sauce. It was another hit, with me at least as I didn't offer any to any other person. I froze part of it and ate it for several meals.
So what are you waiting on check out these sites and make a purchase. You'll be glad you did!

Supper with Old Friends
Recently while Honey and I were heading home from the farm we met with some dear friends in Starkvegas for supper. Ben, Ash and Punkin were also able to join us. It was sooo much fun catching up on what's going on in all of their lives. We have all moved since last seeing each other and gone through many changes. The photos of the grand-children were passed around and I could not believe how much there's have grown, times just passes too fast.
Here are a few photos from our night thanks to Ashia!
She made her rounds and spent time in the arms of everyone at the table. Thank you friends for helping to take care of her.
We love our friends! Because we have each lived in several different areas and me in another country we have friends spread all throughout the US and Central America. We don't get to see them half as much as we would like but we sure feel blessed when we do.

My 4th of July
I had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend what made it so special is that Honey took a few days off and we spent time with the kids.
On the Thursday before the fourth we attended Stars and Stripes and the 1st Annual Boat Parade in Greenwood here are a few of the photos from that night.
We left before the fireworks because we were hot and Punkin had, had enough. But we enjoyed our time together in the park, I hope we can attend again next year and this time maybe we can stay for the fireworks.
On Friday the men went to check out the farm and look at farm equipment so the girls went out to lunch and did a little shopping. Then on Friday night we cooked out at the house.
On Monday the 4th we went to Starkville and had a fun relaxing day of watching movies, eating and playing with Punkin.
I love it when the family can get together we stay too busy to do this often but there have been a few times that we managed to get together lately. Soon it will be harvest time and the times to get together will be few and far in between.

We took a picnic with us and ate at the park while listening to the live entertainment.
What a great shot NOT. I am trying to put Punkin's straps to her blouse up on her shoulders.
Uncle Sam was there and he asked Punkin if she would have her picture taken with him;
she had no problem saying NO.
