I suffer from headaches due to severe allergies and this massager has been a life saver for me! When I feel pressure building up in my eye area I just slip on the massager, adjust it to be comfortably tight and press my power button. Then I set back and let it do it's job, sometimes I play soft relaxing music over my iPhone, yes it has Bluetooth so you can connect it to your favorite source of music. 99% of the time after the massager has run it's cycle I do not have any signs of a headache!

Can your headaches be due to simple dust?

Yes, from experience I tell this story! You probably know by now we have moved to the Hills. During my time of unpacking I have been having terrible sinus headaches that have turned into a migraine during the night. It got to the point that I was so tired from night after night of no sleep that I was continually in tears. Of course Honey was praying for me and I started crying out to God to show me what was going on so I could, if at all possible, change it. Several times I just set and relived the last couple of days and asked myself is there anything that I have done that could have provoked this? I tried everything, I signed up at pollen.com and started keeping a diary of my daily allergy symptoms. You can find a link to this about halfway down my page on the right hand side. The thought came to me dust and boxes. Sooo I started leaving my boxes in the garage, instead of honey bringing them in a few at a time, and instantly my headaches got better. I still have a stuffy head and light headache from time to time, probably from working in the garage, but I have not had a migraine in a week now! There are times when just praying and thinking helps me more than an allergy doctor.

While I finish unpacking I have been taking a Allegra D every morning and then a Tylenol sinus/allergy at night. Hey it may be a little much but it seems to work for me.

Punkin is starting to want to share EVERYTHING, I'm thankful for that because being the only child at this time she could NOT want to share everything.

This is what she does when she is sleepy or just waking up. It was so funny I was cuddling her and she decided that she needed to share her blankie. Every time I took it down she would put it right back up to my nose. When I started holding it there she would look at me and fall out laughing! I have to admit I look kind of funny here!

Punkin and A came and spent a few days with me while the men were harvesting. We had so much fun shopping, eating and relaxing. If there is nothing else to do here you can ALWAYS eat!

She loves holding Syd on a leash, now I don't think Syd likes it at all but she doesn't complain only looks at you a little sad.

Gammy made her eggs, I think this was her first.

And I don't think she really liked them.

Aunt Gail sent us a gift and Punkin loved the box!

Sitting in Gammy's chair, she doesn't think chairs are made to sit in. You either stand in them or push them.

She usually tumbles out forward but this time she slipped out and stood up. I think I was holding her right arm.

I was praising her on how good she did, this is her smile!

First Ranch dressing at Crystal Grill! Sometimes I wonder if our children really want to see us or just go eat at Crystal Grill. We all love it!


Next weekend my other grand babies will be in town and I am soooo excited. Get ready for Gammy to brag, there'll be lots of photos I'm sure! I need to start cooking now so I can just take photos then! LOL

Enough Harmful Stuff to Kill Me!

In my last blog I said I would share more about Ashia's recent shower in Jackson. It was given by her step-mother and attended by her family on her Dad's side and it was very nice. We appreciate the acts of kindness from all the family members. She received many wonderful items that will be used and treasured for years to come. If you attended or had any part in this a big thanks to you!

I am especially thankful that I was able to attend and see many family members that I have not seen in years!!! WOW what a blessing!! We laughed and talked about the old days. It's funny I look back to years ago before I was diagnosed with Celiac, the Lord was merciful because I ate enough harmful stuff to kill me. Not that I didn't suffer but I'm still here! Ashia's aunts and I were talking we use to stand at the bar in the kitchen, never mind sitting down we couldn't fill our plates fast enough that way, so we would stand and eat constantly. No wonder I eventually had a weight problem and had to go on a diet.

Ashia asked me to take photos with her camera, never mind that I've never used it before. When I made that comment she said that I needed to practice because I'm going to take photos when the baby comes. Do you know how upset my daughter will be if I mess up all the photos of her baby's birth? So this was the first photo that I took, not bad huh? After this one the others were all blurred until she put it on auto, sorry Ash maybe I do need practice.

I have had a sinus headache for days. I don't know just what's going on out there but every time I go out my head starts hurting and sometimes hurts way into the night. Some nights I get very little sleep due to the intense sinus pain, so I am reaalllyyyy tired and ready for a break!

I can't believe how fast time flies the older I get the faster it passes by. It will soon be fall and our summer will be over. I enjoy reading about your summers, it makes me feel like I've gone on vacation with you. I am more excited about this fall than normal because it means the birth of Austin then our baby in Indiana. I've got to give Mary a call and see if baby George has a name? I call him baby George because his Dad's name is George and until this he is the only male in their small family unit!

About eating gluten-free, ok let's see if I can make an excuse. Due to being really busy, lazy, or let's just say uninterested I haven't cooked anything new or worth blogging this week. I made spaghetti but thanks to Great Value's Gluten-Fee Spaghetti Sauce I made a quick version. Really I have been gone daily until late in the afternoon and it's hard for me to run in and cook a gourmet meal, so we've ate simple this week.

Mississippi Delta Sweet Corn

I'm so thankful that our son and daughter live close by and were able to be with Steve on Father's Day, I was home in bed. Yes, another migraine! I went swimming and out to eat the night before and looking back it could have been several things that caused the headache. At the restaurant we ate at I sent my steak back because they had put bread on my plate and they said that I got a new steak. Now I wonder if maybe they just took the bread off and served it to me anyway. Also there is corn pollinating all around the house that we swam at so that could have been my problem. When I got home that night I took my usual Benadryl and went to bed. I take one Benadryl every night to help me with my allergies the next day. I woke up at 1am with a sinus headache so I got up and took some Advil and returned to bed. (Always a mistake!) By 4am I was up and thought I would die. I took my pillow to the recliner, heated my sinus pad (thanks again Sarah) and tried to rest a while. It didn't work so I got up and took 1-Excedrin migraine and headed back to the recliner. Around 6 I gave up, got up and took a relpax. After napping I finally got over it and was able to fry fish and fries for Steve that night, gluten-free of course and it was great.

Steve left on Monday afternoon to return to the Delta and I followed on Tuesday morning.

I had a short stay in the Delta this time but it was different as Don and Jan (Steve's cousins) came for the day on Wednesday and we ate at my favorite restaurant "Crystal Grill". I am always pleased with the food there, a lot for your money!

We bought this sweet corn while in the Delta, we were told that many people don't like it because it is too sweet so we had to buy some to try. I can't imagine Sweet Corn that is too sweet and I was sooo correct. It is wonderful, it is some sweeter than the type we raise here in Macon but to tell you the truth I like it better. I ate my share and promised to eat more in the NEAR future!!!!

I am home now with Sydney again. Ben and Ashia are working at a golf tournament in Jackson and will return home later on. I have spent some of my time cleaning house since no one was here but Syd and I. Syd has done well but anytime I open my bedroom door she runs in searching the room over for her favorite person (Steve)!

Steve got in LATE Friday night. Syd goes to bed from 9 to 10 but I tried keeping her up. When Steve drove in she knew the truck, she had a fit and was up for a while playing. Steve sat down to eat and the photo above shows her sitting on his leg watching him. I know she was begging for food but she doesn't leave his side when he's home.

Syd playing with Steve, she waisted no time. She usually sleeps late but not today she got up early and started kissing Steve on the ear etc until he got up too. She was ready for some playing time. I tell you this dog is too smart.

I hope to cook more soon and share my experience with you. We travel so much these days that there's no time for a lot of cooking and to tell you the truth it's just too hot. I did bake a roast to go with the sweet corn last night and now I have to think of something to go with it tonight. UMM maybe a simple green salad!
