Free Dine Gluten Free iPhone and Android app

I thought you'd like to know that today GlutenFreeTravelSite launched the DINE GLUTEN FREE iPhone app and Android app, free companions to our popular website which enables users to to find -- and read detailed peer reviews of -- thousands of "gluten free friendly" businesses in the U.S and around the world. The Gluten Free Dining and Travel REVIEWS, searchable by location, include restaurants, bakeries, markets, resorts, hotels, B&Bs, cruises -- and even colleges.

Now, with the launch of the DINE GLUTEN FREE app for iOS and Android devices, users will be able to access GlutenFreeTravelSite's helpful reviews when "on the go." A search by town or zip code on the app's Search page will reveal a list of businesses reviewed by other people following gluten free diets. One click takes users to the review, where they can also map the business or share the review via social networks. A special reminder service within the DINE GLUTEN FREE app also allows users to save "must try" establishments in areas they'll be visiting -- and then receive an alert on their mobile phone when they're in close proximity.

Other features of the DINE GLUTEN FREE app include:

• A list of many restaurant chains that offer Gluten Free Menus, with dedicated pages for each restaurant that contain links to its Gluten Free Menu, locations, Facebook page, and coupons if offered
• A Submit Review feature which gives users the ability to submit feedback about a restaurant from their smart phone during or immediately after their meal
• A national Calendar listing upcoming gluten free events, trips, and expos, which users may add to
• A Forum to share news and ask questions of other gluten free users of the app
• Push notification alerts when coupons are added to the Coupons section of the app
• Links to articles from the Gluten Free Travel Blog and GlutenFreeTravelSite's Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ pages

Whether users of the DINE GLUTEN FREE app are looking for a new restaurant to try in their area, a safe place to eat on a family vacation, or a venue for dining when traveling on business, they'll have convenient access to detailed accounts of other people's gluten free dining experiences. Launch of Mobile version of website to help Celiacs find GF-friendly places to eat

The Gluten Free Travel site has just launched a free mobile version of their website, GlutenFreeTravelSite 
( http://www.glutenfreetravelsite.com ). This site helps people with Celiac and others following gluten-free diets to find safe places to eat, either in their area or in places they travel.  Unlike many "apps" that cost money and need to be downloaded, the mobile version of GlutenFreeTravelSite is absolutely FREE to use and automatically accessible via any smart phone -- be it an iPhone, Blackberry, or Android-based phone.

Visitors accessing the site "on the go" via a smart phone will now have a more user-friendly experience finding "gluten-free friendly" restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, and hotels/resorts wherever they are. Similar to the experience on GlutenFreeTravelSite, users will be able to search the huge database of gluten-free dining and travel reviews by entering a city/town or zip code. The search results appear on a a Google map, and clicking on any establishment on the list will enable users to link to the review.

Other key features of the mobile version include GlutenFreeTravelSite's Gluten Free Restaurant Menus section which lists national and regional restaurant chains that offer gluten-free menus -- and provides direct links to those menus as well as the restaurants' locations. Users of the mobile version will even be able to visit the site's Blog, Facebook and Twitter pages, and read the Featured Review of the Month.

To access the mobile version, you simply enter the regular URL for GlutenFreeTravelSite ( http://www.glutenfreetravelsite.com ) into your mobile phone’s browser, and you’ll automatically be routed to the mobile version of the site. More details can be found in our Press Release.

Enter to win gluten free merchandise and have a look at my chocolate while you are doing it!

Since our trip to New Orleans I have gained two pounds needless to say when thinking about baking for Christmas I decided that nothing would be gluten-free. If I don't make it gluten free then I won't eat it, right?

Today I started making a few treats for the family. First I made chocolate covered pretzels and they are gluten free I felt this would be ok because how many chocolate covered pretzels would one eat at a time? I'll have to tell you later!

Then I had some chocolate left over and a friend called and said that one of his favorite things this year has been the chocolate covered Ritz with peanut butter. So I used my left over chocolate and made a few. These are not gluten free so no temptations there.

 My ultimate treat, but I didn't make these, I bought them in New Orleans to share and they are WONDERFUL!!!!

In 2008, New York City won, in large part because of the many independent restaurants throughout Manhattan that have eagerly embraced the gluten-free community.
