Purdue Gluten Free Chicken Tender Review

Have you tried Purdue Gluten Free Breaded Chicken tenders? I love having something on hand for when Honey is out of town. Yes, I cook from scratch but when cooking for one it's just not as much fun. Also let's face it there are times in our crazy lifestyle that we don't have time for thawing, breading and baking chicken tenders.

These are breaded and all you have to do is place them in the oven and bake for 9-11 minutes. They come out perfect every time and taste great too!

So go buy you some today I bought mine out our local Wal-mart.

Bakery on Main Oatmeal Review

You know from past post that I am without a kitchen right now so I'm living upstairs while the downstairs is remodeled and cooking in a toaster oven, what little I cook.

A few weeks ago I received a message from the Marketing Associate at Bakery on Main asking did I want to sample some of their new oatmeal. I wrote back and told her that I had not had any of their oatmeal and would love to try it because I love everything  of theirs that I have tried.

Then last Saturday I received a package of Bakery on Main Oatmeal and assorted flavors.

It couldn't Have happened at a better time! This just helps to bring a little excitement into my eating every morning.

So far I have tried the "Apple Pie" and "Strawberry Shortcake" and I LOVE both of them!

The Apple Pie has bits of real apple and a apple, cinnamon, pie taste. The bowl was waaayyy too small.

 

The Strawberry Shortcake has bits of real strawberries and a creamy vanilla taste. It was good too but I added a little too much liquid to this bowl, or maybe I ate it before it had time to thicken, either way it was still good. I wish I had one more bowl to test, oh well I'll just have to buy some!

Fish Tacos using Rudi's Gluten Free Tortillas

Honey was out of town one night last week and I was really tired from a big day at bible school. Normally I would have chosen to eat a sandwich for supper but this night I was craving fried catfish. I don't know why it had only been  4-yrs since I had eaten any. I had just enough farm raised catfish in my freezer for one person so I decided that my craving was going to out weigh my tiredness. I fried up my fish using 

and made slaw to go with it and it was sooo good.

The next day for lunch I thought about how great my catfish was and decided to use my Rudi's plain tortillas and made fish tacos. Oh man I think I could eat these everyday of the week, they were so good. I heated the fish in my oven until it was hot and crispy once more, then I heated the tortilla put the fish on it with a little cocktail sauce over it and topped it off with the coleslaw. Now after blogging this I wish I had more fish!

Go buy some Rudi's gluten free tortillas they are fantastic!

Rudis Fiesta Tortilla Review

I recently received a note asking my to try Rudis new tortillas and post a review. Man was I excited because I have never tried a Rudis product that I didn't absolutely love. 

Yesterday I was sitting here thinking about what to cook for supper when the UPS lady knocked on my door, my first thought was what have I ordered? When I picked up the package I got excited and knew exactly what we would be having for supper TACOS.

This is what I received. They always send such a lovely package!


I chose to use the Fiesta tortillas first and when I took my first bite my mouth did a dance. They are wonderful, they are soft and have a great texture just like a regular flour tortilla but these have just a hint of jalapeno and it with the combination of other spices make them just perfect.


I made one mistake I bragged on them to my husband and then he insisted that I share but I mad it clear that he could only have one. He loved them too so now I'm tempted to hide them.


I look forward to trying the others as a matter of fact I'm going to my daughters and I think I'll take some with me but I won't brag to my family this time.

See the chips in my taco, I love tortilla chips crushed up in my tacos it makes them have a little crunch!

They Have Done it Again,

I love Bakery on Main products so when I received an e-mail telling me about their new Oatmeal I got all excited. I know it will be great tasting and to be honest I miss instant oatmeal on those cold winter mornings when I am in a hurry.
